Looking back to 2019 and forward to 2020
If our Principal Consultant, Richard Hollis, had his Google Location Services on this year (he hasn’t of course, he’s not that mad!) it would throw up an image similar to what it would look like if you gave a kitten a ball of wool and it started chasing a mouse. By this we mean he has been crisscrossing the globe, delivering information security training for one of the world’s largest financial organisations in Kuala Lumpur, Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, Grimsby… everywhere!
What else has been happening on Planet Risk Crew?
Well, rather like my belly after all the Christmas erm…excesses – growing rapidly! We’ve doubled the size of our in-house penetration testing team, plus brought in a dedicated technical pre-sales consultant.
Also, we have added a new, highly qualified and experienced member to our Governance, Risk & Compliance consultancy team – specialising in data protection & ISO 27001 (she holds the ISO 27001 Lead Implementer certification). To complete the recruitment drive, we now have a dedicated Head of Marketing – expect to hear about some exciting new events in the New Year!
…And how could I forget, Midge, our part-time office dog, who occasionally job shares with Dexter when he’s in town!
Our website – riskcrew.com got a well-deserved overhaul and our unique training & awareness programme, eRiskology™ continues to break new ground.
Even with our new addition to the GRC team we are still flat out delivering our DPO-on-Demand service and this year has seen us successfully take several clients to full UKAS ISO 27001 certification.
IoT, Wi-Fi and APT testing have featured heavily this year down in the dark & murky depths of our penetration testing lab and we’re also in the process of designing bespoke application security threat & attack modelling platforms for an international client.
So that’s the Risk Crew year as articulated on a blog post, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to you, our regular readers, our clients, past, present & future – if not for you we wouldn’t exist.
